Crispy air-fried pickles with golden panko coating that delivers restaurant-quality crunch in just 15 minutes. This healthier alternative to deep-fried pickles uses minimal oil while maximizing flavor and texture.
Ingredients
1 jar (16 oz) thick-cut dill pickle chips, drained
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs, beaten
2 cups panko breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Cooking spray
Ranch dressing for serving
Instructions
1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F for 5 minutes
2. Drain pickles and pat completely dry with paper towels. Let air-dry for 10 minutes
3. Set up three shallow dishes: seasoned flour in first, beaten eggs in second, panko breadcrumbs in third
4. Working in batches, dredge pickles in flour, dip in eggs, then press into panko breadcrumbs
5. Spray air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange pickles in single layer with space between pieces
6. Spray tops of pickles with cooking spray. Air fry for 6 minutes
7. Flip pickles, spray again, and air fry 4-6 minutes more until golden brown
8. Serve immediately with ranch dressing for dipping
