Ingredients
1 packet instant dry yeast
2 cups all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
8–10 fresh bacon strips
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 tablespoon sugar
3/4 cup warm water
Extra butter for brushing
Instructions
1. In a stand mixer, combine flour, yeast, melted butter, sugar, and salt
2. Slowly add warm water while mixing until smooth dough forms
3. Knead dough for 5 minutes until proper texture is achieved
4. Roll dough into rectangle shape on floured surface
5. Sprinkle grated cheese and garlic powder evenly over dough
6. Fold dough to layer flavors and cut into strips
7. Twist each strip for attractive presentation
8. Wrap each breadstick with bacon strips, overlapping and pressing into dough
9. Place on parchment-lined baking sheet
10. Bake at 375°F for 22-24 minutes until golden brown and bacon is crispy
11. Brush with garlic butter immediately after baking
