Ingredients
2 soft pretzels, sliced in half
4 slices of Black Forest ham (Boar’s Head SmokeMaster recommended)
4 slices of Swiss cheese
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
1. Slice soft pretzels in half horizontally to create top and bottom halves
2. Spread Dijon mustard and mayonnaise evenly on the inside of each pretzel half
3. Layer 2 slices of Black Forest ham on the bottom half of each pretzel
4. Top ham with 2 slices of Swiss cheese per sandwich
5. Place top pretzel half over the cheese to complete the sandwich
6. Butter the outside of the pretzel bread generously
7. Heat a panini press or grill pan over medium heat
8. Place sandwiches on heated surface and grill for 3-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted
9. Remove from heat and let rest for 1 minute before cutting
10. Slice diagonally and serve immediately while hot and crispy
