Ingredients
– 1 lb ground beef
– 6 slices of bacon
– 1/2 cup bourbon
– 1/4 cup brown sugar
– 1 tablespoon soy sauce
– 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
– 4 sub rolls
– Lettuce and tomato for topping
– Optional: cheese slices

2. 1. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
3. 2. In the same skillet, drain excess fat and add bourbon, brown sugar, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, and black pepper. Simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes.
4. 3. Divide the ground beef into 6 equal portions and form into patties.
5. 4. Smash the patties onto the hot skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, adding the bourbon glaze during the last minute of cooking.
6. 5. Toast the sub rolls in the same skillet until golden brown.
7. 6. Assemble the burger: place a patty on a roll, top with bacon, and add lettuce and tomato. Optionally, add cheese.
8. 7. Drizzle more bourbon glaze on top and serve immediately.

– For extra flavor, marinate the bacon in the bourbon glaze before cooking.
