Description

Bourbon Maple Bacon Bombs are deliciously sweet and savory bites, perfect for parties or as an appetizer. These bacon-wrapped meatballs are infused with a sticky bourbon maple glaze that delivers a delightful heat and smoky flavor.


Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1/2 lb ground pork

1 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup chopped green onions

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 lb bacon, cut in half

1/2 cup bourbon

1/2 cup maple syrup

1/4 cup hot sauce

1/2 tsp cayenne pepper


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

3. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, green onions, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

5. Form the meat mixture into 1-inch meatballs.

7. Wrap each meatball with a half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.

9. Place the bacon-wrapped meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

11. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine bourbon, maple syrup, hot sauce, and cayenne pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.

13. Brush the bourbon maple glaze over the bacon-wrapped meatballs.

15. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the meatballs are cooked through.

Notes

For an extra kick, adjust the amount of hot sauce and cayenne pepper to taste.

 

Serve these bombs with toothpicks and extra glaze on the side for dipping.
