Description

This Brown Sugar Bourbon Ham & Cheddar Melt is a delicious and indulgent sandwich featuring sweet and smoky ham, melted cheddar cheese, and a hint of bourbon-infused sauce. Perfect for a quick lunch or an impressive dinner!


Ingredients

2 slices of bread

4 oz sliced brown sugar bourbon ham

2 oz sharp cheddar cheese, sliced

1 tbsp butter, softened

1 tbsp bourbon (optional)

1 tsp brown sugar

Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

2. 1. In a small bowl, mix the bourbon (if using) with brown sugar, and season with salt and pepper. Set aside.

3. 2. Butter one side of each slice of bread.

4. 3. On the unbuttered side of one slice, layer the ham and cheddar cheese.

5. 4. Drizzle the bourbon mixture over the cheese and top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.

6. 5. Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in the skillet.

7. 6. Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown.

8. 7. Flip the sandwich carefully and cook for another 3-4 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the other side is golden brown.

9. 8. Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.
