Description
A bold Italian fusion dish combining tender beef and premium Italian tuna in a rich Genovese sauce.
Ingredients
1 lb chuck roast beef, cubed
1 can (6 oz) Italian yellowfin tuna in olive oil
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup dry white wine
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/4 cup diced tomatoes
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp sliced green olives
1 tbsp sliced black olives
Instructions
1. Season beef with salt and pepper. Brown in olive oil until golden.
2. Deglaze with white wine, add tomatoes and garlic. Simmer until beef is tender.
3. Pat tuna dry, sear in pan for 2–3 minutes per side. Set aside.
4. Fold tuna into beef sauce gently. Add parsley, olives, and lemon juice.
5. Simmer briefly, adjust seasoning, and serve warm.
Notes
Pair with crusty bread or arugula salad for full Mediterranean experience.
For vegetarian variation, use grilled eggplant or zucchini instead of meat.
