Description

Cajun Fried Chicken with Creamy Pepper Gravy is a delightful dish that combines crispy, spicy chicken with a rich and velvety gravy. Perfect for a comforting dinner that impresses.

Ingredients

Scale

4 chicken thighs

1 cup buttermilk

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

Vegetable oil for frying

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon black pepper

Instructions

1. 1. Marinate chicken in buttermilk for at least 2 hours.

2. 2. In a bowl, mix flour, Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

3. 3. Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat.

4. 4. Dredge chicken in the flour mixture and fry until golden brown, about 8-10 minutes per side.

5. 5. Remove chicken and drain on paper towels.

6. 6. In the same skillet, add chicken broth and heavy cream, scraping up any bits from the bottom.

7. 7. Stir in black pepper and simmer until thickened.

8. 8. Serve chicken with creamy pepper gravy.

Notes

For extra flavor, let the chicken marinate overnight. Adjust the spice level by adding more or less Cajun seasoning.
