Description

A gourmet Cajun Maple Bacon Provolone Panini that combines smoky bacon, creamy provolone cheese, and bold Cajun spices for the ultimate sandwich experience. Perfect for lunch or dinner.


Ingredients

4 slices thick-cut maple bacon

4 slices aged provolone cheese

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

4 slices sourdough bread

2 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon spicy remoulade sauce

1 tablespoon maple syrup for glazing


Instructions

1. Cook maple bacon in a skillet until golden-brown and crispy, about 6-8 minutes

2. Brush maple syrup on cooked bacon and set aside

3. Butter the outside of each bread slice

4. Spread remoulade sauce on the inside of bread slices

5. Sprinkle Cajun seasoning evenly on sauce

6. Layer provolone cheese and maple-glazed bacon

7. Close sandwich and press in panini press for 3-4 minutes

8. Alternatively, cook in cast-iron skillet with heavy weight on top

9. Cook 2-3 minutes per side until golden and cheese melts

10. Let cool for 1 minute before slicing diagonally

Notes

For best results, use day-old bread for optimal texture

Can substitute tempeh or portobello mushrooms for vegetarian option
