Description

A delicious sandwich that combines crispy schnitzel, savory bacon, and soft pretzel bread, topped with your favorite condiments for an unforgettable meal!


Ingredients

Scale

2 large pretzels

4 slices of bacon

2 boneless pork chops

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 cup breadcrumbs

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Vegetable oil for frying

Your favorite mustard and lettuce for serving


Instructions

1. 1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. 2. In a shallow dish, season the flour with salt, pepper, and paprika.

3. 3. In another bowl, beat the eggs.

4. 4. In a third dish, place the breadcrumbs.

5. 5. Flatten the pork chops to about 1/4 inch thick and dip each chop in the flour, then the egg, and finally the breadcrumbs.

6. 6. In a skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.

7. 7. In the same skillet, add enough oil to cover the bottom and heat to 350°F (175°C).

8. 8. Fry the schnitzels until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

9. 9. Slice the pretzels in half and place the schnitzel on the bottom half of each pretzel.

10. 10. Top with crispy bacon, mustard, and lettuce. Place the top half of the pretzel on and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding cheese or pickles to your sandwich.

You can also bake the schnitzels in the oven at 400°F for a healthier version.
