Description

The ultimate comfort food fusion combining bacon cheeseburger flavors with classic corn dogs. Golden crispy cornmeal coating surrounds seasoned ground beef, crispy bacon, and melted cheese for an unforgettable indulgent treat.

Ingredients

Scale

1. 1 pound ground beef

2. 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon

3. 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

4. 1/4 cup bread crumbs

5. 1 teaspoon garlic powder

6. Salt and pepper to taste

7. 8 hot dog sausages

8. 8 slices of American cheese

9. 1 cup flour

10. 1 cup cornmeal

11. 1 tablespoon baking powder

12. 1 teaspoon salt

13. 1 cup milk

14. Vegetable oil for frying

15. 8 wooden skewers

Instructions

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, bacon, cheddar cheese, bread crumbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

2. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each portion around a hot dog sausage, forming it into a hot dog shape.

3. Place a slice of American cheese on top of each bacon cheeseburger hot dog and press it down gently to adhere.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cornmeal, baking powder, and salt. Slowly pour in the milk, stirring continuously until a smooth batter forms.

5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F.

6. Dip each bacon cheeseburger hot dog into the batter, making sure it is evenly coated.

7. Carefully place the corn dog into the hot oil and fry for about 4-5 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

8. Remove the corn dog from the oil and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

9. Insert a wooden skewer into each corn dog and serve hot with your favorite condiments.

Notes

Maintain oil temperature at 350°F for best results

Don’t overcrowd the fryer – cook 2-3 corn dogs at a time

Chill assembled corn dogs for 15 minutes before battering for better shape retention

Serve immediately for optimal texture contrast

Store leftovers in refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in 375°F oven for 8-10 minutes
