Description

The ultimate comfort food indulgence featuring crispy bacon-wrapped mozzarella sticks with golden breading, deep-fried to perfection and served with a creamy spicy sriracha dip. These restaurant-quality appetizers combine gooey melted cheese, smoky bacon, and the perfect spicy kick.

Ingredients

Scale

12 mozzarella sticks

12 slices of bacon

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 eggs, beaten

1 cup breadcrumbs

Vegetable oil, for frying

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/2 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce

Instructions

1. Begin by wrapping each mozzarella stick with a slice of bacon, making sure to cover the entire stick. Secure the bacon with toothpicks if necessary.

2. In three separate bowls, place the flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs.

3. Coat each bacon-wrapped mozzarella stick in flour, then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.

4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F.

5. Fry the bacon-wrapped mozzarella sticks in batches for about 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

6. Remove from oil and let drain on paper towels. Season with salt and pepper while still hot.

7. In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise and Sriracha sauce to create the dip.

8. Serve the deep-fried bacon-wrapped mozzarella sticks with the Sriracha dip on the side for dipping. Enjoy!

Notes

For best results, use room-temperature bacon for easier wrapping.

Maintain oil temperature at exactly 350°F for optimal crispiness.

Don’t overcrowd the fryer – work in small batches.

Can be baked at 425°F for 12-15 minutes as a lighter alternative.

Best served immediately while hot and crispy.

Store leftovers in refrigerator up to 2 days; reheat in oven at 375°F for 8-10 minutes.
