Ingredients
8 oz kadaifi pastry (shredded phyllo)
6 oz premium dark chocolate (70% cocoa), chopped
1/2 cup clarified butter, melted
1/2 cup pistachios, roughly chopped
1/2 cup sugar syrup
1/4 tsp rose water (optional)
Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan
2. Spread kadaifi pastry in prepared pan and drizzle with melted clarified butter
3. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and crispy
4. Melt chocolate in double boiler until smooth
5. Remove pastry from oven and immediately pour chocolate over hot pastry
6. Sprinkle chopped pistachios evenly over chocolate
7. Drizzle with sugar syrup and rose water if using
8. Let cool for 30 minutes before cutting into bars
9. Serve at room temperature or slightly warm
Notes
For best results, use high-quality kadaifi pastry from Middle Eastern grocery stores
Chocolate can be substituted with milk chocolate for sweeter taste
Store covered at room temperature for up to 3 days
Can be served with Arabic coffee or cardamom tea
