Description

Transform classic cheeseburger flavors into a hearty family casserole! This Easy Loaded Bacon Cheeseburger Dinner Casserole combines seasoned ground beef, crispy bacon, melted cheese, and tender pasta in one convenient dish that feeds 6-8 people.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can condensed cheddar cheese soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 3 cups cooked elbow macaroni
  • Optional toppings: diced pickles, green onions, sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish and set it aside.
  • Brown the beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the meat is browned and the onion is soft, about 8-10 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  • Season it up: Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Give it a taste and adjust as needed.
  • Mix the sauce: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cheddar cheese soup, milk, ketchup, and mustard. Whisk it until smooth and creamy.
  • Bring it all together: Add the cooked macaroni, beef mixture, half the crumbled bacon, 1 ½ cups cheddar cheese, and the mozzarella to the sauce. Stir everything together until well combined.
  • Assemble the casserole: Pour the cheesy beef mixture into your greased casserole dish. Smooth out the top and sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese and bacon evenly over it.
  • Bake it up: Pop it in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
  • Garnish & serve: Sprinkle diced pickles, green onions, or even sesame seeds on top if you like that classic cheeseburger vibe.

Notes

  • Use 80/20 ground beef for best flavor and texture
  • Cook pasta al dente as it will continue cooking in the oven
  • Can be assembled 24 hours ahead and refrigerated before baking
  • Freezes well for up to 3 months
  • Let rest 5-10 minutes after baking for easier serving
