Ingredients
4 pounds pork roast
2 cups apple cider
1 cup bourbon
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
2 apples, sliced
Fresh rosemary for garnish
Instructions
1. 1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
2. 2. In a large bowl, mix apple cider, bourbon, brown sugar, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
3. 3. Place the pork roast in a roasting pan and pour the marinade over it. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
4. 4. Roast the pork in the preheated oven for about 3 hours, basting occasionally with the marinade.
5. 5. In the last 30 minutes, add sliced apples around the roast.
6. 6. Once the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C), remove from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
