Description
This Fireball Whiskey Jalapeño Popper Burger combines the bold, spicy flavors of jalapeño poppers with the smoky richness of grilled beef, elevated by a cinnamon-spiced whiskey infusion and finished with a luxurious cream cheese drizzle. Crafted for discerning home chefs seeking restaurant-quality burger experiences with unforgettable bold flavors.
Ingredients
1 lb lean ground beef (80/20 recommended)
4 fresh jalapeños
4 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
1/4 cup Fireball Whiskey
2 tablespoons Greek yogurt
1 clove garlic, minced
Salt and black pepper to taste
4–6 burger buns (optional, omit for low-carb/keto)
Optional toppings: cheddar cheese slices, bacon, lettuce, tomato
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place jalapeños on a baking sheet and roast for 20 minutes until skin is blistered.
2. Remove jalapeños from oven and let cool. Once cool, peel off skin, remove seeds, and chop finely.
3. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, Fireball Whiskey, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined (do not overmix).
4. Form the beef mixture into 4-6 patties depending on desired size. Create a slight indent in the center of each patty to prevent bulging.
5. Preheat grill to medium heat. Cook burger patties 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare (130-135°F internal temp), or to desired doneness.
6. While burgers cook, prepare cream cheese drizzle: Combine softened cream cheese, Greek yogurt, garlic, and roasted jalapeños in food processor. Process until smooth and creamy. Add splash of Fireball Whiskey if desired.
7. Transfer cream cheese mixture to piping bag or zip-top bag with corner cut off.
8. Once burgers reach desired doneness, remove from grill and let rest 2-3 minutes.
9. Assemble burgers on buns (if using) with desired toppings, then drizzle generously with cream cheese mixture.
10. Serve immediately with sweet potato fries or fresh green salad.
Notes
For extra heat, leave some jalapeño seeds in the mixture.
The burger can be made gluten-free, low-carb, and keto-friendly by serving without the bun.
For food safety, always use a meat thermometer to check internal temperatures.
The cream cheese drizzle can be made up to 24 hours ahead and refrigerated.
Pair with Fireball Whiskey neat, craft beer, or Pinot Noir for the ultimate experience.
