This German Beer Hall Bacon Potato Skillet is a hearty meal that combines crispy bacon, tender potatoes, and flavorful onions, all cooked in a rich, savory broth. Perfect for breakfast or dinner!
Ingredients
4 slices of bacon
2 large potatoes, diced
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup chicken broth
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
1. In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and chop.
2. Add diced potatoes to the skillet with bacon drippings and cook until golden brown, about 10-12 minutes.
3. Add onion and garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
4. Pour in the chicken broth and sprinkle with paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
5. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until potatoes are tender and the liquid has reduced slightly.
6. Stir in chopped bacon, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot.
Notes
For an extra kick, add a splash of beer to the broth. You can also top with a fried egg for a complete breakfast.
