Description

This German Beer Hall Bacon Potato Skillet is a hearty meal that combines crispy bacon, tender potatoes, and flavorful onions, all cooked in a rich, savory broth. Perfect for breakfast or dinner!

Ingredients

Scale

4 slices of bacon

2 large potatoes, diced

1 medium onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup chicken broth

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and chop.

2. Add diced potatoes to the skillet with bacon drippings and cook until golden brown, about 10-12 minutes.

3. Add onion and garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.

4. Pour in the chicken broth and sprinkle with paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.

5. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until potatoes are tender and the liquid has reduced slightly.

6. Stir in chopped bacon, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a splash of beer to the broth. You can also top with a fried egg for a complete breakfast.
