Description

This Honey Bourbon Glazed Brisket is a delicious fusion of sweet and savory flavors, paired with creamy roasted sweet potato mash for a delightful meal.


Ingredients

Scale

2 lb beef brisket

1/2 cup honey

1/2 cup bourbon

1/4 cup soy sauce

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp salt

2 lbs sweet potatoes

1/4 cup butter

1/2 cup milk

Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).

2. Combine honey, bourbon, soy sauce, minced garlic, black pepper, and salt in a bowl.

3. Place the brisket in a roasting pan and pour the honey bourbon mixture over it.

4. Cover the pan with foil and roast in the preheated oven for 3 hours.

5. While the brisket is roasting, peel and chop the sweet potatoes.

6. Boil the sweet potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

7. Drain the sweet potatoes and return to the pot.

8. Add butter and milk to the sweet potatoes and mash until creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

9. After 3 hours, remove the foil from the brisket and cook for an additional 30 minutes or until caramelized.

10. Slice the brisket and serve with the roasted sweet potato mash.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the brisket in the honey bourbon mixture overnight.

Adjust sweetness by adding more or less honey based on your preference.
