Description

Indulge in the ultimate breakfast treat with this Honey Butter Banana Foster Stuffed French Toast. Rich and decadent, it’s filled with sweet bananas and buttery honey, all topped off with a luscious cinnamon sauce. Perfect for a special brunch!

Ingredients

Scale

6 slices of thick bread (e.g., brioche or challah)

2 ripe bananas, sliced

4 tablespoons honey

1 teaspoon cinnamon

4 large eggs

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon butter

Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

1. 1. In a small saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of honey over medium heat. Add sliced bananas and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. Cook until bananas are soft, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

2. 2. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and remaining cinnamon.

3. 3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter.

4. 4. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated.

5. 5. Place half the slices on the skillet and top each with a portion of the banana mixture, then cover with the remaining slices of bread.

6. 6. Cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.

7. 7. For the cinnamon sauce, combine 2 tablespoons honey, 1 tablespoon butter, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon in a small saucepan over low heat until melted and combined.

8. 8. Serve the stuffed French toast warm, drizzled with cinnamon sauce and dusted with powdered sugar.

Notes

This recipe can be made with any type of bread you prefer. For an extra touch, you can add chopped nuts or chocolate chips to the banana filling.
