Scale

1 pound high-quality ground beef (80/20)

6 slices pepper jack cheese

6 strips thick-cut bacon

3 brioche or pretzel burger buns

3 tablespoons sriracha sauce

6 tablespoons ranch dressing

4 lettuce leaves

2 large tomatoes, sliced

Salt and black pepper to taste

2 tablespoons butter for bun toasting

Instructions

1. Cook bacon strips until crispy, set aside on paper towels

2. Mix sriracha sauce and ranch dressing to create sriracha ranch swirl

3. Form ground beef into 6 thin patties, season with salt and pepper

4. Heat griddle or heavy skillet over medium-high heat

5. Place patties on hot surface and smash down with spatula for 2-3 minutes

6. Flip patties, add pepper jack cheese slices, cook another 2 minutes

7. Toast burger buns with butter until golden brown

8. Spread sriracha ranch swirl on bottom bun

9. Layer first patty with cheese, add bacon, then second patty

10. Add lettuce, tomato, more sriracha ranch swirl

11. Top with third patty and cheese, finish with top bun

12. Secure with toothpick if needed, serve immediately

Notes

For best results, use 80/20 ground beef for juicy patties

Don’t overwork the meat when forming patties

Make sure griddle is very hot for proper smashing technique

Adjust sriracha amount in sauce to your heat preference

Can substitute brioche buns with pretzel or potato buns

Best served immediately while cheese is still melted
