Ingredients
1–2 pounds New York strip or sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
1/4 cup Jack Daniels whiskey
1/3 cup pure maple syrup
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
3–4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
Optional: crushed red pepper flakes
Optional: fresh rosemary
Optional: smoked paprika
Instructions
1. Cut steak into 1-inch cubes, removing excess fat
2. Combine Jack Daniels, maple syrup, soy sauce, olive oil, Dijon mustard, and minced garlic in a bowl
3. Marinate steak cubes in whiskey mixture for 30 minutes to 2 hours
4. Heat cast-iron skillet or grill to high heat
5. Cook steak bites for 2-3 minutes per side for medium-rare
6. Brush with remaining glaze during last 2 minutes of cooking
7. Let rest for 2-3 minutes before serving
