Description
This Jalapeño Cheddar Beer Dip is a creamy, cheesy delight with a kick of heat from fresh jalapeños. Perfect for parties or game day, this dip pairs wonderfully with pretzels, tortilla chips, or vegetables.
Ingredients
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup beer (lager or ale)
2 jalapeños, diced (seeds removed for less heat)
1/4 cup green onions, chopped
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. 1. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
2. 2. Gradually mix in the shredded cheddar cheese until well combined.
3. 3. Add the beer, diced jalapeños, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well incorporated.
4. 4. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish or a slow cooker.
5. 5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top. If using a slow cooker, heat on low for 1-2 hours.
6. 6. Serve warm with pretzels, tortilla chips, or fresh vegetables.
Notes
For a spicier dip, leave some seeds in the jalapeños or add a dash of hot sauce.
You can substitute the beer with vegetable broth for a non-alcoholic version.
This dip can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
