Ingredients
6 fresh glazed donuts, halved
12 strips thick-cut bacon
8 large farm-fresh eggs
1/4 cup real maple syrup
2 tablespoons butter
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Cook bacon in cast iron skillet over medium heat until crispy and golden, about 8-10 minutes
2. Remove bacon and drain on paper towels, reserving 1 tablespoon of bacon fat
3. Crack eggs into mixing bowl and whisk with salt and pepper
4. Heat butter in skillet over medium-low heat, add eggs and scramble gently until fluffy
5. Slice glazed donuts in half horizontally using sharp knife
6. Warm donut halves in toaster or oven for 30 seconds
7. Layer 2 bacon strips on bottom half of each donut
8. Top with generous portion of scrambled eggs
9. Drizzle with warm maple syrup
10. Crown with top half of donut and serve immediately
