Ingredients
4 slices of artisan bread (sourdough or ciabatta work best)
8 slices of premium Gouda cheese
8 slices of crispy bacon
2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Instructions
1. Choose good-quality bread that’s sturdy and cut Gouda cheese into equal pieces
2. Make the maple syrup and Sriracha sauce mix in a small bowl
3. Cook bacon in skillet for 3-4 minutes per side until crispy and golden brown
4. Butter the outside of each bread slice generously
5. Spread the maple-Sriracha mixture on the inside of the bread slices
6. Layer Gouda cheese and crispy bacon between the bread slices
7. Heat skillet to medium temperature
8. Place sandwich in the skillet and grill for 3-4 minutes on each side
9. Flip when golden brown and ensure cheese is completely melted
10. Serve immediately while hot and crispy

Start with less Sriracha and adjust to taste preferences
Use aged Gouda for stronger flavor or smoked Gouda for smoky notes
Cook bacon until extra crispy to prevent sogginess
