Ingredients
4 boneless pork chops
1 cup sliced mushrooms
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions
1. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper.
2. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the pork chops and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
4. Remove the pork chops and set them aside.
5. In the same skillet, add the mushrooms and garlic, cooking until the mushrooms are soft.
6. Pour in the chicken broth and thyme, stirring to combine.
7. Place the pork chops back in the skillet, spooning the mushroom mixture over the top.
8. Sprinkle Swiss cheese on top of each chop.
9. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.
Notes
For best results, use thick-cut pork chops. You can substitute the Swiss cheese with Gruyère or mozzarella if desired.
