Description

Easy bacon-wrapped tater tot skewers combining crispy bacon, cheesy tater tots, and simple ingredients for the perfect game day appetizer that’s always a crowd favorite.


Ingredients

Scale

48 frozen tater tots

8 slices bacon, finely chopped

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1216 wooden skewers or toothpicks

1/2 cup sour cream (for serving)

2 green onions, chopped

Hot pepper sauce (optional)

Cooking spray or oil for baking sheet


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C)

2. Bake frozen tater tots for 28 minutes, flipping halfway through

3. Remove tater tots and let cool slightly

4. Thread 4-6 tater tots onto each skewer

5. Wrap chopped bacon around tater tots on skewers

6. Sprinkle with cheddar and mozzarella cheese

7. Bake for additional 5-7 minutes until bacon is crispy and cheese melts

8. Garnish with chopped green onions

9. Serve immediately with sour cream and hot pepper sauce

Notes

Use cooking spray on baking sheet to prevent sticking

Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning

Can be prepared ahead and refrigerated until ready to cook

For grilling, cook over medium heat for 10-12 minutes total
