Custom number and letter cakes perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, and special celebrations. These personalized cakes serve as both dessert and decorative centerpiece.
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1½ cups granulated sugar
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
3 large eggs
1 cup whole milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
1½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
4 cups buttercream frosting
Food coloring (various colors)
Decorative sprinkles
Edible flowers or decorations
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare number/letter cake pan with butter and flour
2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes
3. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla extract
4. Alternate adding flour mixture and milk, beginning and ending with flour
5. Pour batter into prepared shaped pan and bake 25-30 minutes until toothpick comes out clean
6. Cool completely before removing from pan
7. Prepare buttercream frosting and divide into portions for different colors
8. Add food coloring to achieve desired colors
9. Apply base layer of frosting to cooled cake
10. Use piping bags to create decorative details and patterns
11. Add sprinkles, edible flowers, or other decorations as desired
12. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to set decorations before serving
