Description

Oktoberfest Pretzel Bun Beer Cheese Burger featuring rich beer cheese, perfectly grilled beef, and crispy bacon on soft pretzel buns. Crafted for discerning home chefs seeking restaurant-quality fall comfort food with authentic Oktoberfest flavors.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)

1 cup beer cheese (German-style preferred)

4 slices thick-cut bacon

4 soft pretzel buns

1 large onion, caramelized

Salt and black pepper to taste

1 tsp garlic powder

2 tbsp vegetable oil for grilling

Optional: fresh lettuce, tomato slices

Instructions

1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat and brush grates with oil

2. Shape ground beef into 4 patties slightly larger than pretzel buns

3. Season both sides of patties with salt, pepper, and garlic powder

4. Cook bacon in pan over medium heat until crispy, set aside

5. Grill burger patties 4-5 minutes per side for medium doneness

6. Toast pretzel buns on grill for 1 minute until lightly golden

7. Spread beer cheese generously on bottom bun

8. Place grilled patty on beer cheese

9. Top with caramelized onions and crispy bacon

10. Add lettuce and tomato if desired, crown with top bun

Notes

For best results, use freshly ground beef with good fat content for juicy patties. German-style beer cheese adds authentic Oktoberfest flavor. Don’t press down on patties while grilling to retain juices.
