Description
A refreshing summer cocktail that combines the nostalgic flavors of orange creamsicle with sophisticated white wine sangria. Perfect for summer parties and gatherings.
Ingredients
1 bottle (750ml) crisp white wine (Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc)
1 cup fresh orange juice
1/2 cup vanilla vodka
1/4 cup Triple Sec
1/2 cup half-and-half or heavy cream
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
1 large orange, sliced
Ice cubes
Whipped cream for garnish
Orange zest for garnish
Instructions
1. Chill white wine in refrigerator for at least 2 hours before use
2. In a large pitcher, combine white wine and fresh orange juice
3. Add vanilla vodka and Triple Sec, stirring gently to combine
4. Slowly pour in half-and-half while stirring to prevent separation
5. Add vanilla extract and mix thoroughly
6. Add fresh orange slices to the pitcher
7. Refrigerate sangria for 2-4 hours to allow flavors to meld
8. Serve over ice in wine glasses
9. Garnish with whipped cream and orange zest
Notes
Use freshly squeezed orange juice for best flavor
Chill all ingredients before mixing to prevent separation
Can be made 4 hours in advance but add cream just before serving
For a frozen version, blend with ice for a slushie consistency
Non-alcoholic version: replace wine with sparkling water or white grape juice
