Description

Philly Cheesesteak Fries are a delicious twist on the traditional Philly cheesesteak, served over crispy fries and topped with melted cheese and sautéed vegetables. Perfect for sharing at a BBQ or game day!

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb frozen French fries

1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 onion, thinly sliced

1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced

1 cup provolone cheese, shredded

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: sliced jalapeños, hot sauce

Instructions

1.

2. 1. Preheat the oven and cook the frozen French fries according to package instructions until crispy.

3. 2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add sliced onions and green bell peppers, sauté until softened.

4. 3. Add the sliced ribeye steak to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.

5. 4. Once fries are done, remove from the oven and layer the steak and vegetable mixture on top.

6. 5. Sprinkle shredded provolone cheese over the steak and vegetables. Return to the oven for 3-5 minutes, or until cheese is melted.

7. 6. Remove from oven and drizzle with hot sauce or add sliced jalapeños if desired. Serve immediately.

8.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the steak slices in Worcestershire sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.

You can also use cheddar cheese or a cheese sauce for a different flavor profile.
