Description

The ultimate comfort food fusion combining classic Philly cheesesteak flavors with grilled cheese perfection. Tender ribeye steak, caramelized bell peppers and onions, melted provolone cheese between crispy golden buttered bread. This easy 25-minute recipe delivers restaurant-quality results at home.

Ingredients

Scale

1/2 lb thinly sliced ribeye steak

1/2 green bell pepper, sliced

1/2 onion, sliced

4 slices of provolone cheese

4 slices of white bread

2 tbsp butter

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ribeye steak until browned and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from skillet and set aside.

2. In the same skillet, add the sliced bell pepper and onion. Cook until softened and slightly caramelized.

3. Place 2 slices of provolone cheese on each slice of white bread.

4. Divide the cooked steak, bell pepper, and onion mixture evenly over two slices of bread with cheese.

5. Top with the remaining slices of bread with cheese to form sandwiches.

6. In a separate skillet over medium heat, melt butter.

7. Carefully place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted.

8. Flip the sandwiches and cook until the other side is golden brown.

9. Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve hot. Enjoy your Philly Cheesesteak Grilled Cheese!

Notes

For best results, slice ribeye steak as thinly as possible for tender texture.

Cook vegetables until slightly caramelized for optimal flavor development.

Use medium heat to ensure proper browning without burning the bread.

American cheese or white cheddar can be substituted for provolone.

Serve immediately while cheese is still melty and bread is crispy.

Perfect with crispy french fries or pickles on the side.
