Description

Elevate your burger game with this Pickle Ranch Double Smash Burger featuring a cheddar avalanche. Crafted for discerning home chefs seeking restaurant-quality results with gourmet flavor combinations.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb high-quality ground beef (80/20 blend)

4 burger buns, toasted

4 slices sharp cheddar cheese

1/4 cup ranch dressing

8 pickle spears

4 lettuce leaves

2 large tomatoes, sliced

1 medium onion, sliced

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tbsp vegetable oil for cooking

Instructions

1. Gently form ground beef into 8 small balls, being careful not to overwork the meat

2. Season beef balls with salt and pepper

3. Heat oil in a cast iron skillet or griddle over medium-high heat

4. Place beef balls on hot surface and immediately smash flat with spatula

5. Cook for 2-3 minutes until crispy crust forms, then flip

6. Add cheese to 4 patties and stack with remaining 4 patties

7. Toast burger buns until golden

8. Assemble burgers: bottom bun, lettuce, tomato, onion, double patty with cheese, ranch dressing, pickles, top bun

9. Serve immediately while cheese is melted

Notes

For the perfect smash burger, use a heavy spatula and press firmly to create maximum surface contact with the cooking surface. The key is high heat and not moving the patties until the crust forms.
