This Smoked Gouda Beer-Glazed Burger Stack is a mouthwatering combination of juicy beef, rich smoked gouda, and a savory beer glaze. Perfect for backyard barbecues or a cozy dinner at home!


Ingredients

4 beef burger patties (1/2 lb each)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 cup beer (lager or ale)

1 cup smoked gouda cheese, shredded

4 burger buns

1 cup arugula

1/2 cup caramelized onions

Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

1. 1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

2. 2. In a saucepan, combine beer and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce by half, about 10 minutes.

3. 3. Season the beef patties with salt and pepper.

4. 4. Brush the grill grates with olive oil and place the patties on the grill.

5. 5. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness.

6. 6. During the last minute of cooking, pour the reduced beer glaze over the patties and top with shredded smoked gouda. Close the grill lid to melt the cheese.

7. 7. Toast the burger buns on the grill until golden brown.

8. 8. Assemble the burgers: place the patty on the bottom half of the bun, top with arugula and caramelized onions, and then add the top bun.
