Description

This Smoky Cheddar Beer Brat Pretzel Melt is a delicious combination of bratwurst, smoky cheddar, and soft pretzel bread, all melted together for the perfect indulgence.

Ingredients

– 4 bratwurst sausages

– 1 cup smoky cheddar cheese, shredded

– 4 large soft pretzel buns

– 1 cup beer (lager or ale)

– 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

– 1 tablespoon olive oil

– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

– Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1.

2. 1. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add bratwurst and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.

3. 2. Pour in the beer and simmer for 10-15 minutes until cooked through.

4. 3. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

5. 4. Slice the pretzel buns in half and place them on a baking sheet.

6. 5. Spread Dijon mustard on the bottom half of each bun.

7. 6. Place a bratwurst in each bun and top with shredded smoky cheddar.

8. 7. Bake in the oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

9. 8. Serve immediately, garnished with salt and pepper if desired.

Notes

For an extra kick, add sliced jalapeños or sautéed onions on top of the bratwurst before adding the cheese. You can also use any type of cheese you prefer.
