This Spicy Cajun Fried Chicken is crispy, flavorful, and served with a rich creamy garlic gravy. Perfect for dinner!
Ingredients
4 chicken thighs
2 cups buttermilk
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Vegetable oil for frying
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
1. 1. Marinate chicken thighs in buttermilk for at least 2 hours or overnight.
2. 2. In a bowl, mix flour, Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
3. 3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat.
4. 4. Dredge marinated chicken in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
5. 5. Fry chicken for 10-12 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
6. 6. Remove chicken and drain on paper towels.
7. 7. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
8. 8. Add chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring until thickened.
9. 9. Serve chicken with creamy garlic gravy on top.
Notes
For extra spice, add cayenne pepper to the flour mixture.
Serve with mashed potatoes or rice for a complete meal.
