A bold and flavorful burger featuring a juicy patty topped with spicy maple bourbon bacon and a crunchy jalapeño slaw. Perfect for grilling season!
Ingredients
– 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
– 4 slices of bacon
– 1/4 cup maple syrup
– 2 tbsp bourbon
– 1 tbsp hot sauce
– 4 hamburger buns
– 1 cup shredded lettuce
– 1/2 cup diced jalapeños
– 1/4 cup mayonnaise
– 1 tbsp lime juice
– Salt and pepper to taste

2. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
3. In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
4. In the same skillet, combine maple syrup, bourbon, and hot sauce. Cook on medium heat until slightly thickened.
5. Form the ground beef into 4 patties, season with salt and pepper, and grill for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium doneness.
6. Toast the buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
7. In a bowl, mix together the diced jalapeños, mayonnaise, and lime juice to create the jalapeño crunch.
8. Assemble the burgers: place the patty on the bottom bun, top with bacon, drizzle with the maple bourbon sauce, and finish with jalapeño crunch and shredded lettuce.
9. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes
For an extra kick, add more hot sauce to the maple bourbon sauce.
You can substitute turkey or plant-based meat for a different protein option.
