Description

Transform ordinary ribeye steaks into a dramatic Halloween centerpiece with this bourbon-marinated steak featuring mysterious black sauce that delivers incredible flavor and theatrical presentation.

Ingredients

Scale

2 ribeye steaks

1/4 cup bourbon

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tbsp brown sugar

1 tsp black food coloring

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat

2. In a small bowl, mix together the bourbon, minced garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, black food coloring, salt, and pepper

3. Place the steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, making sure to coat both sides

4. Let the steaks marinate for at least 30 minutes

5. Once the grill is hot, place the steaks on the grill and cook to your desired level of doneness, about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare

6. While the steaks are cooking, pour the remaining marinade into a small saucepan and bring to a simmer

7. Let the marinade cook for a few minutes until it thickens slightly

8. Once the steaks are done, remove them from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes

9. Slice the steaks and drizzle the black sauce over the top

10. Serve the spooky bourbon garlic steaks with black sauce alongside your favorite Halloween-themed sides

Notes

For best results, marinate steaks for 2-4 hours for maximum flavor penetration

Use a meat thermometer to ensure perfect doneness: 125°F for rare, 135°F for medium-rare, 145°F for medium

Black food coloring is safe for consumption and creates dramatic visual impact

Substitute tamari for soy sauce to make this recipe gluten-free

Bourbon can be substituted with whiskey or additional soy sauce if preferred
