Description
Healthy high-protein breakfast sandwich with turkey bacon, egg whites and cheddar on a whole wheat English muffin.
Ingredients
½ whole wheat English muffin
2 slices lean turkey bacon
½ cup liquid egg whites
1 slice reduced-fat cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Everything bagel seasoning (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place turkey bacon slices without overlapping.
3. Bake the turkey bacon for 15–20 minutes until crispy.
4. Pour egg whites into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, season with salt and pepper and everything bagel seasoning.
5. Bake egg whites at 375°F for 20–25 minutes until set.
6. Toast the English muffin halves until golden brown.
7. Assemble sandwich: layer egg whites, turkey bacon, and cheddar cheese between muffin halves.
8. Serve hot or wrap for meal prep.
Notes
Add avocado slices or hot honey for extra flavor.
Wrap and store sandwiches in fridge up to 4 days or freeze for a month.
Microwave 60–90 seconds or bake at 425°F for 10–15 minutes to reheat.
