Ingredients
Thick-cut, smoked bacon

Mozzarella cheese, shredded
Sourdough bread (1 large sub roll)
Mayonnaise
Fresh lettuce leaves

Onions, sliced
Pickles
Jalapeños (optional, for spice)
Instructions
1. Cook the bacon until crispy, then chop into small pieces and set aside
2. Mix the chopped bacon with shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese in a bowl
3. Slice the sourdough bread lengthwise and spread mayonnaise on both sides
4. Add the bacon and cheese filling generously on top of the mayonnaise
5. Sprinkle additional cheese on top for extra richness
6. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
7. Place the assembled sub on a baking sheet
8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is fully melted and bread is golden and toasted
