These Maple Fire Glazed Bacon Bombs are a sweet and savory treat that combine the rich flavors of bacon with a sticky maple glaze, perfect for parties or as a decadent snack.
Ingredients
1 lb thick-cut bacon
1 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cream cheese
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1 package of mini phyllo dough cups
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a bowl, mix the maple syrup, brown sugar, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt.
3. Wrap each mini phyllo cup with a slice of bacon, securing with a toothpick if needed.
4. Place the wrapped cups on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
5. Brush the bacon-wrapped cups with the maple glaze mixture.
6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the bacon is crispy.
7. In a separate bowl, mix the cream cheese with chopped green onions.
8. Once removed from the oven, let cool slightly and then fill each cup with the cream cheese mixture.
9. Drizzle with additional maple glaze before serving.
Notes
For a spicier kick, increase the cayenne pepper.
These can be made ahead of time and reheated in the oven before serving.
Serve with toothpicks for easy eating.
