Ingredients
2 pounds pork shoulder
1 cup bourbon
1 cup BBQ sauce
1 onion, sliced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. 1. Place the sliced onion and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
2. 2. Season the pork shoulder with salt, pepper, brown sugar, and smoked paprika.
3. 3. Place the pork on top of the onions and garlic.
4. 4. Pour the bourbon and BBQ sauce over the pork.
5. 5. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
6. 6. Once cooked, shred the pork with two forks and mix with the sauce.
Notes
For an extra kick, add a dash of cayenne pepper to the seasoning. Serve on toasted buns with coleslaw for a delightful meal.
